Ma perchè non pubblicano in italiano "The World Of Robert Jordan's: The Wheel Of Time"? (titolo del cacchio...ma è esattamente questo...)
Io ho avuto la fortuna di trovarlo in lingua originale da Feltrinelli, ma in versione economica...poche illustrazioni e stampato maluccio...
So che ne esiste anche un'edizione "di lusso" con illustrazioni dei vari personaggi ecc ecc...
Facciamo una petizione da mandare alla Fanucci?

Prepara la petizione che io scaldo la penna.
Ho proprio voglia di vedere delle belle illustrazioni sulla ruota. Vi allieterò con il suono della mia arpa, ma badate bene a ciò che fate se non volete assaggiare l'acciaio dei miei pugnali.
Thom rimase sbigottito ed estasiato quando i suoi vecchi stanchi occhi tornarono a scorgere nel blu del cielo il fiero volo dell'Aquila rossa e il suo cuore si colmò di gioia dopo questi giorni tetri. |

Speriamo "belle" Thom...io non le ho viste, so solo che esistono (e CREDO siano addirittura a colori...ma prendila con le pinze...).
Non so se la qualità sia la medesima delle copertine originali, cmq il contenuto è ottimo! L'unico problema è che non mi ricordo se questa enciclopedia comprenda i libri fino al V o VI...
Mi informo meglio...
Io l'avevo comprata quando stavo leggendo il III, e aprendola a caso mi ero subito bruciato 1 colpo di scena...da allora non l'ho + aperta!
Mi informo x la petizione, chiedo all'admin di un altro forum che ne ha già fatta 1 (tra l'altro superimportante e con una marea di firme, ma x rispetto delle regole non dico altro), il sito a cui ci possiamo appoggiare e le varie modalità!

A me non dispiacciono affatto. Soprattutto quella de "The Dragon Reborn" e "A path of daggers"

mmhh io ne sono rimasto parecchio deluso...mi aspettavo molte piu informazioni sull epoca leggendaria e i reietti...e poi la sezione delle creature dell ombra si limita a trolloc myrdraal dragkhar e uomini grigi...niente sui "vermi" o jumara o gholam...
e poi ci sono cose che mi sembrano abbastanza stupide...tipo

1) La terra dei pazzi (continente a sud): dice che non si sono mai ripresi dalla frattura...cioè in tremila anni niente?
2)poi: le Aes Sedai li non si sono mai organizzate in gruppi stabili...sembra parecchio strano..
3) se tutte le creature seanchan sono state portate da altri mondi durante la frattura com'è che Lanfear ne la Grande Caccia sapeva come ucciderli? (nda: freccia nell'occchio)

scusate la mia insistenza volevo chiarire due cose:
1)Le illustrazioni: io ho l'edizione economica (paperback) che contiene solo le mappe in diversi periodi...sono in bianco e nero ma devo dire che sono chiare e accurate...se fossero a colori sarebbero molto belle!
2)Anni fa ho comprato una Guida (sempre realizzata in collaborazione con teresa patterson) del mondo di Shannara...edizione "lusso" 27 euro...ma ne valeva la pena! le pagine erano formato A4 (quindi molto grandi rispetto ai libri "normali") e la carta era pesante e liscia(tipo plastificata) con delle illustrazioni molto belle...e le descrizioni di creature erano in box a parte con delle illustrazioni! per la Ruota dovrebbero aver fatto qualcosa del genere!!
