Secondo me Rand potrà, al massimo, ri-sigillare "temporaneamente" la prigione del Tenebroso. Infatti Moiraine ne "La Grande Caccia" dice: "[...] L'opera dell'uomo non può uguagliare quella del Creatore. [...]".
Per quanto Moiraine sia una persona in gambissima non tutto ciò che dice deve essere preso come oro colato...
Secondo la ciclicità della Ruota è tempo che il DO venga risigillato di nuovo perfettamente. Se lo farà Rand, o il Creatore non lo sappiamo. Forse questa è la volta che il DO vince definitivamente e distrugge il creato.
