    Rand e gli ashaman mettono al suo posto colavaere, con l'intervento di faile e di una nuova aes sedai. Ma il vero promotore dell'azione è decisamente il drago. Che a quanto pare continua a sfoderare nuovi trucchetti. Uno dei miei capitoli preferiti in assoluto

    Devo dire che è piaciuto molto anche a me, anche se ad esser sincero, non sono sicuro d'aver capito correttamente cos'ha fatto Rand. Quel che ho capito io, è che la corona si è rotta sulla testa di Coalvaere e si è subito dopo rimaterealizzata nelle mani di Rand...ma mi sembra piuttosto strano... maledetto il mio inglese da seconda media!

    For all her dignity, all her courage, Colavaere made a visible effort not to
    flinch as Rand reached out and took hold of the Sun Crown. There was a loud
    crack of metal snapping, and the crown flexed, hardly disarraying her tower
    of curls as it pulled away, slowly straightening-. A few of the brilliant
    yellow stones popped from their settings and fell. He held up the stretched
    arc of metal, and slowly it bent back on itself until the ends met, and...
    Maybe the Asha’man could see what happened, could understand, but to Perrin,
    one moment the crown was broken, the next it was whole again.

    "Whatever can be done," Rand said softly, "can be undone."

    Con tutta la sua dignità, tutto il suo coraggio, Colavaere fece uno sforzo visibile per non
    ritrarsi quando Rand si allungò e prese la Corona del Sole. Ci fu un sonoro scatto di metallo,
    e la corona si flesse, a stento scompigliandole la torre di ricci quando venne via, lentamente
    raddrizzandosi. Alcune delle brillanti pietre gialle saltarono e caddero. Lui tenne alzato
    l’arco di metallo allungato, e lentamente lo ripiegò su sé stesso finché le estremità si incontrarono, e..
    Forse gli Asha’man videro quello che accadde, capirono, ma per Perrin, un attimo prima la corona
    era infranta, e quello dopo di nuovo integra.

    "Tutto ciò che viene fatto," disse Rand sommessamente, "può venire disfatto."     [SM=x494609]

    allora:
    Colavaere fa per scusarsi, Rand che ricordiamo è molto alto, allunga il braccino e afferra
    con le MANO la corona e gliela toglie dalla testa senza particolare gentilezza,
    e quindi la corona si piega e distorce tanto che alcune gemme cadono.
    Poi Rand piega con le mani la corona che si era 'slargata' MA
    contemporaneamente usa il potere per ripararla    .

    Ma da quel che ho capito, la corona non è stato altro che piegata a formare una sorta di 8. Quindi, con il potere la riallarga a formare un cerchio?

    da quello che ho capito la corona del sole, non è un cerchio,
    ma più un diadema. Tirandola via dai capelli di Colavaere, Rand,
    ha stiracchiato il semicerchio del diadema per poi riportarlo
    alla forma originale, un semicerchio.

    io pensavo che la cosa della corona l'avesse fatta tutta con il potere. mi sembrava che facesse e disfacesse la corona più volte. fantastico il destino di Colaevere.

    Un capitolo magistrale!!!
    Nonostante il mio maccheronico inglese ho capito piu o meno tanto (salvo magari alcuni particolare).

    "Ciò che può essere fatto, può essere disfatto", è una frase di un effetto galattico, davvero immensa.

    E la riluttanza di Rand nel condannare a morte Colavere, denota che i suoi conflitti interni non sono certo finito, soprattutto, credo, questa sua riluttanza di vedere morire delle donne.

    Chissa se adesso qualcuno se la prenderà perchè con lei ha usato una mano un po più "delicata" (anche se credo che colavere avrebbe preferito la pena capitale :P)

    Odierò l'uomo d te scelto perchè non sarò io, e lo amerò se ti farà sorridere

    La scena della corona è spettacolare, Colavaere fa la fine che si merita e Rand potrebbe trarre vantaggio dalla nuova idea di confiscare tutti i beni ai nobili condannati...

    Non ho capito molto bene il ruolo di Faile in questo capitolo, qualche aiuto?

    Faile ha mosso le accuse di tradimento e omicidio verso Colavaere.

    In sostanza Faile è rimasta a corte, invece di allontanarsi essendo la moglie di un amico del Drago, per carpire informazioni su Colavaere e fare quanto sopra.

    Grazie Drago, avevo capito che a muovere le accuse di omicidio a Colavaere fosse stata la Aes Sedai consigliera di Berelain.

    OT: ho notato che non si vede ma non riesco a sistemarlo e non ho ancora trovato un buon sostituto.

    Ho apprezzato particolarmente la "tolleranza" di Rand nei confronti di Colavaere.
    Qualcuno propone di impiccarla ma lei chiede il boia come si confà ad una nobile ed invece Rand la confina nella più misera fattoria che la donna possiede, dove verrà accompagnata e istruita ad arare la terra... [SM=x494540] [SM=x494540] [SM=x494540]

    Il passaggio della corona spezzata è davvero bello: solo gli asha'man probabilmente capiscono quello che Rand fa con il potere alla corona prima infranta e poi di nuovo integra.
    L'odore di terrore è fortissimo e sprigiona da tutti i nobili presenti nella sala, nessuno emette un suono, nessun movimento.... [SM=x494641]
