Il titolo si riferisce al giuramento di fedeltà di faolain e theodrin verso egwene, che le ha elevate al rango di aes seda. Successivamente ci gustiamo una serie complotti sostenuti da delana (esponente dell'ahja nera), e romanda e lelaine, le due avversarie nella hall of sitters. Il tutto sulli sfondo di qualcosa che gareth bryne deve mostrare ad egwene e di myrelle che nasconde qualcosa. Le cose a salidar sono abbastanza incasinate...[SM=x494532]
