    Come da titolo. Ho notato che manca un thread sull'autore che secondo me, insieme ad herbert con dune, ha prodotto il miglior ciclo di fantascienza in circolazione.
    Magari è un giudizio affrettato visto che sono impegnato solo con il terzo volume, ma mentre la vena di herbert, IMHO, si è esaurita col primo volume, simmons ha mantenuto altissima la qualità.
    E poi diciamolo....lo Shrike è poderoso inmaniera spaventosa. E' ineluttabile...

    cmq commenti per quando finirò il terzo volume.

    Io ultimamente sto cercando di autoconvinvermi a leggere un libro di fantascienza...ma non riesco a mollare il fantasy nemmeno per un attimo...è una malattia...

    la saga di hyperion è una delle poche di fantascienza che abbia mai letto. che dire, merita! oltre ai protagonisti degli ultimi due libri, aenea e raul, anche i personaggi che fanno da corollario sono estremamente interessanti, io adoro il console con la sua nave e il tappeto [SM=x494549]

    innanzi tutto, bello mare infinitum. Secondo me mieville ha preso proprio da qui qualche idea per la citta delle navi, specie per l'avanc.
    Interessante anche la figura di nemes. Nella sua lotta con lo shrike mi ha fatto pensare a terminator 2, con un cyborg moderno contro uno più obsoleto.

    Non mi produco in un commento organico e per la non attinenza del romanzo al genere (e per il recente stato comatoso del canale), limitandomi a qualche ulteriore commento sfuso.

    Allora, innanzi tutto confermo come il finale rimandi a terminator II (non so se ha scritto prima simmons o cameron).
    Secondariamente, si confermano pregi già visti in passato nella serie, soprattutto al livello della caratterizzazione dei personaggi. La trama è invece un po' meno coinvolgente del solito. Anche lo svelare vecchi misteri, se da un lato chiarifica il tutto, tende a rendere l'atmosfera meno misteriosa. Sapere l'origine dello shrike è stato un vero colpo al suo fascino.

    Nel complesso però è un ottimo romanzo; aspetto il risveglio...


    ps: bella la costante presenza di hyperion, nonostante sul pianeta si svolga poco o niente (tranne la battaglia tra shrike e guardie svizzere, per altro fenomenale)

    pps: quanto è bello quando la chiesa è dipinta in maniera negativa

    anke a me kuesta serie è piaciuta molto. Il parassita crucimorfo è 1 delle idee + originali ke ho mai visto. Poi m piace ke ci sono guardie svizzere ultrateknologike ke kombattono nello spazio.

    perchè ritendo la "kiesa" un'associazione a delinquere, provo soddisfazione a vedere qualcuno che la dipinge in maniera così aderente a quella che per me è la realtà.

    mi sono appena iscritto a questo forum e ho già visto in evidenza una discussione su uno dei miei autori preferiti ....ottimo direi [SM=x494523]

    comunque tanto per dire la mia parzialissima opinione ritengo i canti di Hyperion una delle più belle storie di sf mai pubblicate in assoluto e tra i lavori più recenti decisamente la migliore .... in ogni caso se non siete d'accordo nessun problema ma ricordate che che il mio amico Shrike può venire a farvi visita in qualunque momento [SM=x494540] [SM=x494540] [SM=x494540] [SM=x494540]

    Anche per me Simmons è un genio assoluto!
    Hyperion mi era piaciuto da morire e se forse La caduta di Hyperion e Endymion erano leggermente inferiori, ho trovato l'ultimo romanzo decisamente il più bello, anche perché, in un certo senso, ha introdotto degli elementi che si avvicinano più alla fantasy che alla fantascienza.

    Ho poi letto i primi due volumi di Ilium (molto carini) ed ho acquistato la settimana scorsa l'ultimo della serie: non vedo l'ora di iniziarlo!

    ....bè alla fine ti dispiacerà non poco abbandonare le avventure di aenea & c. ... comunque ti consiglio di leggerti con molta attenzione l'ultimo volume lì simmons chiude quasi tutte le sotto trame e gli argomenti rimasti in sospeso nei precedenti tre e le sorprese non mancheranno .......

    Ps il finale è da brividi ........buona lettura !
