Molti si sono lamentati del fatto che Ishamael, il reietto considerato più forte, muore solo alla fine del 3° libro. Ma credo che anche questo possa avere una spiegazione.
Infatti, potrebbe essere un residuo dell'intenzione di Jordan di scrivere 4 libri invece di 12: al 4°, dunque, Rand avrebbe sconfitto il tenebroso: ma come ben sappiamo la saga si è dilungata.
In effetti, si può notare come nel 4° libro vengano introdotte molte novità rispetto ai libri precedenti (non li elenco sennò faccio spoiler)
