    stavo rileggendo il capitolo in cui elayne viene rapita dall'ajah nera (sembra essere una costante nella sua vita l'essere rapita dall'ajah nera...pemso sia la terza volta [SM=x494538] ): l'erede al trono di andor non viene colpita dal potere ma stordita con un "arma dell epoca leggendaria" che sembra funzionare ad elettricità rubata a moghedien...che sia una shocklance?
    nota: la traduzione della ciocci era fucili-elettro-fulminanti!! [SM=x494582] [SM=x494582]

    non credo si tratti di una shocklance per una questione etimologica...

    il ter'angreal descritto non ha l'aspetto di una lancia o di qualcosa di simile,
    è più una specie di bacchetta.

    appunto...ma pare stupido che nell'epoca leggendaria creino un arma che per fulminare debba entrare in contatto col bersaglio come una lancia...mi parrebbe piu logico creare qualcosa come i moderni fulminatori senza pero bisogno di fili...per friggere i trolloc a distanza!     il fatto che sia a forma di lancia non implica che debba entrare in contatto...

    E' probabilmente che permettesse anche di colpire all'arma bianca, tipo fucile con baionetta.

    O che comunque anche i colpi portati corpo a corpo fossero più letali grazie alla scarica elettrica.

    Per quanto la traduzione italica faccia pietà penso che il senso sia quello corretto e che sia parte
    di quei famosi termini tradotti con l'ausilio di Jordan.

    Nell' age of legends i ter'angreal potevano essere usati da chiunque...esistevano i cosiddetti "STANDING FLOWS" o flussi permanenti...quindi potrebbe benissimo essere una shocklance

    ehm... ma dove hai trovato che sembra funzionare con l'elettricità?

    nella enciclopedia WOT è descritto tra i ter'angreal come una bacchetta nera ripiegata lunga un pollice, che può stordire od uccidere da una certa distanza

    non ho detto che funzionano con l'eletricità, ho detto che danno una scarica elettrica. [SM=x494584]
