Lan rimane speciale, forse troppo perfetto, forse "drogato" dal suo ruolo... (in "Nuova Primavera" mi piace parecchio di più infatti!!) 1. Un robot non può arrecare danno a un essere umano, o, per inazione, permettere che un essere umano subisca danno.
2. Un robot deve eseguire gli ordini che riceve dagli esseri umani, ma non quando tali ordini inteferiscono con la Prima Legge.
3. Un robot deve proteggere se stesso, finché la sua autodifesa non interferisce con la Prima o la Seconda Legge.
