Si ma Frank, Jordan usa pagine su pagine su pagine su ancora pagine per descrivere vestiti, vestiti sgargianti, costumi sgargianti, vestiti scollati etc... mentre Martin usa qualche riga per descrivere spade lavorate (ehm...io preferisco un poco la descrizione di ghiaccio, dente di leone, veleno del cuore etc ai costumi da circo) , armature e stemmi nobiliari a vestiti femminili. Se avessi la pazienza di incollare, verificheremmo le rispettive lunghezze.....

Che spade, armature, e vessili siano per dei ragazzi (io in primis)
argomenti più interessanti di merletti e vestiti è ovvio,
ma non solo i ragazzI leggono fantasy...
e poi è chiaro che Martin debba descrivere armi, armature e
vessili, ci sono diverse battaglie e scontri, e fa parte del tipo
di immaginario che vuole ricreare. E le donne (tranne le
dovute eccezioni) in questo immaginario hanno un posto ben
preciso. Sono prede.
Jordan dal canto suo, ha impostato un mondo in cui le donne
hanno la scorza veramente dura, sotto vestiti e merletti
ovviamente! Essendo quindi spesso in primo piano, che sono
protagoniste, è naturale conseguenza che tenda a fargli dire
quello che penserebbe una donna, magari un po estremizzato in
alcuni casi. Con questo non voglio dire che le donne pensano solo
ai vestiti. (Qui rischio la testa! )
Concludo dicendo che ne le armature di Martin, ne gli abiti di
Jordan mi hanno creato particolari problemi, sono elementi in più
che rendono più vivi i loro mondi!

anche io non sono infastidito dalle due tipologie di descrizione, e cmq preferisco quelle di martin. In ogni modo non concordo assolutamente sul "pagine e pagine di merletti", tanto più che ormai zio jojo si è fissato su alcuni punti che secondo me rientrano in quella che chiamavo gestualità ripetitiva. Quindi barelain avrà sempre un good amount of exposed bosom, quando non si tratta di well rounded bosom... |

scusate, ma martin dipinge un mondo mediavale abbastanza credibile. Le donne in generale sono sottomesse. Poi se una è una negromante ed un altra una regina, è normale che non si limitano ad esssere prede. La donna media invece E' preda. Nella Ruota, la donna media come si dice a roma "se la comanda". Non se ne trova una moscia e dobole. |
