più che un suggerimento è un po' una supplica:
non si può far nulla per rendere meno pesante e laboriosa l'apertura delle pagine?
il fatto è che abito in un paesino di montanga e devo usare una vecchia lentissima linea 56 k
penso che tanti altri abbiamo il mio stesso problema.
Io di cose tecniche non capisco nulla però ho visto in altri forum che hanno adottato delle soluzioni per rendere le pagine meno pesanti, se qualcuno ci capisce qualcosa ed ha dei suggerimenti da dare....grazie! ---------------------------------------

Anche io a casa ho solo il 56K, ma non ho molti problemi a caricare contemporaneamente due o tre pagine di questo forum.

io in firefox tutti sti vantaggi non li vedo. O meglio quando l'ho usato con windows è entrato in conflitto con avast ed ho dovuto disinstallarlo.
D'aòtro canto ora lo uso quotidianamente in combinazione con mandriva e devo dire che va una scheggia (ma secondo me è merito del pinguino). Di vantaggi con fasterfox non ne ho notati sotto linux |

Anch'io, quando avevo il 56K andavo lento con IE. Molto dipende dal browser, infatti 56K su Safari era una scheggia. --------------------------------------------

Io uso Firefox ed Avast sotto Windows e va che è una meraviglia.
I vantaggi ce ne sono, anche se magari uno non se ne rende conto.
Uno di questi è il Tabbed browsing, non solo per la comodità, ma anche da un punto di vista di velocità. Se apro 5 tab con le varie pagine di un sito rimango all'interno della stessa sessione, se invece apro le stesse pagine su 5 diverse finestre del browser apro 5 diverse sessioni con il server. Magari chi ha l'ADSL non lo nota, ma con il 56K l'overhead di comunicazioni comincia a sentirsi e anche un singolo KB risparmiato fa la differenza. ![[SM=x494598]](http://laruotadeltempo.altervista.org/_altervista_ht/wot_forum/smilini/zzzz.gif)
Con l'estensione "Fasterfox" il discorso è lo stesso: serve a migliorare la gestione della cache del browser, magari con una connessione veloce la differenza non si vede, ma con il 56K è notevole; per esempio in questo forum significa non doversi scaricare ogni volta l'immagine di sfondo, le immagini delle varie sezioni e così via. Non sembra ma queste piccole cose rendono la navigazione molto più tranquilla e meno stressante. --------------------------------
