scusate, non sapevo dove piazzare questa discussione, se è il caso spostatela nel posto giusto, comunque...

da ciò che si può leggere in questi siti, sperando che le info siano corrette, pare proprio che l'ultimo libro sarà spaccato in due (se non addirittura in tre parti, sigh!)
comunque la pubblicazione sarà di ben 688 pagine in paperback... almeno di roba da leggere ce ne sarà un po'...
come si può leggere sulla copertina la pubblicazione si chiamerà: "Gathering Storm" the book one of "A Memory of life"

A very small cover image has been floating around, and people want me to say if it's a hoax or not. Well, to be honest, I haven't yet seen the cover art for the book. Things have been so busy for me these last few months editing that I've let Harriet handle all of that. So I don't know if the cover is the real one or not. It certainly looks like Mr. Sweet's work, and it could be a scene from the book. But it looks rough, perhaps not the finished art. It's too small to tell. And the lettering on it is suspect to me--it mentions this book being the sequel to Crossroads of Twilight, for instance, which is a flat-out error. I certainly didn't approve that on cover copy, and I doubt Harriet did either. Most likely, this is a mock-up done internally that is being used as a placeholder. That's just one of the several things that bothers me about this cover image.
A lot of people are wondering on the number of volumes this book will be. I'll be honest, this is a big, big project. I stand by one promise to you, no matter what else happens. I will NOT artificially inflate the size of this book. It doesn't matter to me how many volumes Tor decides to make it; the story is the same to me. One volume, as Robert Jordan planned it. Enormous.
If it is split into chunks, I will push Tor to release them as soon as is reasonably possible and I will push hard for an omnibus edition at the end.

Seppur impaziente di leggere il finale di questa super-saga sono molto contento della scelta di non limitare e tagliare un libro che ha aperti decine di intrecci su diversi personaggi. Riguardo la suddivisione di AMOL in tre libri, era nell'aria la divisione in 2 libri o più e sinceramente, anche se un po' riluttante, mi trovo d'accordo anche su questo punto.
... ma ho capito bene o Sanderson, per ora, prenderà un compenso solo per il minimo contrattuale che prevedeva 200k parole? Leggevo giusto ieri su Dragonmount.com
Il prologo probabilmente non verrà rilasciato prima della pubblicazione visto che Jordan lo faceva con diversi mesi di anticipo sull'uscita del libro. Quindi più ci si avvicina alla pubblicazione più è difficile che il prologo sia disponibile in anticipo, ma potrebbe sempre succedere. -------------

penso che uscirà anche negli altri paesi di lingua inglese, tipo la Gran Bretagna, infatti io penso di ordinare il libro su amazon.uk, così dovrei pagare meno spese di viaggio che a farmelo mandare dall'America... ---------------------------------------

L'uscita del libro e' stata anticipata al 27 ottobre. Purtroppo solo in Canada e Stati Uniti.

al prezzo di 18.49 €, ed il bello è che tutti i prodotti di play.com sono già comprensivi di spese di spedizione.
Non so a che prezzi lo si trova su amazon, ma mi sembra che sia un buon prezzo (tra l'altro mi sembra che dalla copertina sia la versione inglese, non quella americana) Odierò l'uomo d te scelto perchè non sarò io, e lo amerò se ti farà sorridere |
