Per come la vedo io è proprio il numero enorme di personaggi e plotline varie che richiede un rallentamento di passo, infatti è proprio dal 7 in poi che cominciano a venire introdotti tantissimi nuovi personaggi e uno ha bisogno dell'ency per tenere dietro :P
Basta solo pensare che se in un libro metti Rand, Mat, Perrin, Egwene e Elayne con 5 capitoli ciascuno hai già 25 capitoli, più aggiungiamoci tutte le altre plotline minori che comunque vanno portate avanti e magari altri pov di personaggi che si trovano con uno dei protagonisti qui sopra tipo Min, Cadsy, Nyn e abbiamo il quadro completo. Praticamente ti passano 700-800 pagine così e ogni plotline ha avuto una media di 4-5 capitoli ciascuna..
Io mi sto basando sui libri che ho letto finora eh... Poi sinceramente non so quanti capitoli abbia Elayne nel 10 XD
concordo in todo, per quello chiedo a Master cosa toglierebbe... non dico che non si possa accorciare qualche descrizione o scena, ma tanto da ridurre di uno, addirittura due libri? Io, personalmente, non credo. A meno di voler togliere vicende che comunque hanno bisogno di risposte.
EDIT: ho aggiunto il quote su Moiraine, altrimenti non era chiaro.
